In Peru, an impressive 70% of respondents stated that AI is favorable in terms of benefits, placing the country in an outstanding fourth position worldwide. This data reveals the receptiveness and trust that Peruvians place in AI.

Leaders in AI adoption

China tops the list as the country that has adopted AI the most, with a resounding 78% of respondents believing the technology offers more benefits than drawbacks.

It is followed by Saudi Arabia (76%, second place ), India (71%, third place) and Mexico (65%, fifth place) in a clear reflection of the breadth of adoption of the technology.

According to the Stanford report, “AI has the potential to have a transformative impact on society,” highlighting the growing importance of monitoring and understanding public attitudes toward this emerging digital technology.

Global differences in perceptions of AI

Contrasting with the global trend, certain countries expressed less favorable views of AI. There are countries such as the United States (35%), Canada(32%) and France (31%), who do not have such a positive view of the benefits of AI.

This contrast between perceptions may be related to a number of factors, such as public science, education and exposure to the technology. Interestingly, in Latin America, 6 of the 15 countries with the highest acceptance of AI are from the region.
